It does not come from a loving...Jesus would do this....place in the heart.

Instead of blaming it on those responsible for low fish populations (the fisherman because of greed and over fishing), they want to blame it on the seal, who only takes what it needs to eat.

Humans think they are the most important species on the planet and feel justified in exploiting other animals for their own greedy selfish purposes.

This is not about survival. This is about respect for the gifts God...i.e. Mother Nature has bestowed upon us. The gifts of the Ocean. And instead of taking what humans need, they take more that they give back and leave fishing nets and trash all over the oceans.

We are doomed as a species..the Earth will be glad to be rid of the human culture.

Dr. ShibaiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7875069982976812251.post-24659663733261276262011-12-27T12:30:20.869-10:002011-12-27T12:30:20.869-10:00TO: December 27, 2011 11:56 AM

Imagine you are fishing at a spot that has provided your family with dinner your whole adult life. You father showed you the spot and how to fish it and his father to him etc. Last month a monk seal showed up and started snatching your papio from the hook every day and so now your family no more eat. The seal won't scare away so you do what you need to do to feed your family.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7875069982976812251.post-22784061011231024092011-12-27T11:17:40.291-10:002011-12-27T11:17:40.291-10:00Monk seals today; you and me tomorrow. Any person given limited opportunities to survive will make decisions based on the situation at hand regardless of what far-away lawmakers may do. Therefore, a more wholistic approach would be to work with the locals in finding new ways to secure sustainable resources... less bureaucratic spending in making laws and rules and paying them to do it, more spending on real-time hands on work such as fish farms (fish pond like consortiums) to where both the creatures of the sea and the human stakeholders can share and live in harmony.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7875069982976812251.post-21123359206388044722011-12-27T09:07:44.096-10:002011-12-27T09:07:44.096-10:00Why can't we all just get along? Let's help them out. We have to take care of each other. Period. Aloha.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
