Having grown riding bike & going swimming in sugar cane runoff Haleiwa plantation in the 60's I understand Kekua's comments ... ReplyDeleteThis is a post that opened all three Piko as I read from the damp woods of a moku thousands of miles from your own. I don't visit your blog very often for when I do I must be prepared, powerful and ready to get the full blow of what is happening on the moku of my birth.
ReplyDeleteI have written a blog post of my own to celebrate the depth of your work-words-view here Joan, http://makuaoo.blogspot.com/2012/10/sacred-everyday-and-gift-of-handwriting.html. The sacred is in everyday, and @ Kumu Kehau ... mahalo nui loa a pau.
